1. Introduction
Contractor Marketing NW is run by me, Arseni Filon, from Seattle, Washington. In this policy, “I,” “me,” and “my” mean Contractor Marketing NW. I build and maintain websites, AI chatbots, and related digital services for contractors, and this policy describes how I collect, use, store, share, and protect personal information when you use contractormarketingnw.com or a website or service I built and maintain for a client.
This policy applies to all users, visitors, and clients regardless of location. I follow the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and other applicable data protection laws.
By using any website or service I operate, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this privacy policy.
2. Information I collect
2.1 Information you give me
I collect the personal information you submit through my websites and services. That includes names, email addresses, phone numbers, and mailing addresses sent through contact forms, quote request forms, or the client intake form. It also includes billing and payment information processed through my authorized payment processors, business information such as company name, job title, and project requirements, and anything else you choose to share in messages, uploads, or conversations with me.
2.2 Form drafts saved as you type
The contact form and the intake form on contractormarketingnw.com save what you type as you type it, before you press the submit button. Once you have entered a phone number or an email address, the form sends the fields you have filled in so far to my server each time they change, and again if you close the tab or leave the page. I keep that partial entry as a lead so an inquiry is not lost when a connection drops or a form is left half done, and I may contact you about it the same way I would after a submitted form. The intake form also keeps a copy of your answers in your own browser so they survive a page reload, and that copy is cleared when you submit. Type only what you are comfortable sending me. If you want a partial entry deleted, email Arseni@ContractorMarketingNW.com and I will remove it.
2.3 Information collected automatically
When you visit a website I built or maintain, I may automatically collect your IP address (which may be shortened before storage), browser type and version, operating system, device type and screen size, the page that referred you and the pages you visit, the date, time, and length of your visit, how you move through the site, and your language settings.
2.4 Cookies and tracking technologies
I use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to run my services, measure traffic, and improve the experience.
Essential cookies keep basic site functions working, such as session handling, security, and load balancing. They cannot be turned off without breaking core features.
Analytics cookies show me how visitors use the site. I may use services such as Google Analytics, which collects anonymized usage data.
Functional cookies remember preferences such as language, region, and display settings.
Marketing and advertising cookies may be used to show relevant ads or measure ad campaign results. Where the law requires it, they are set only with your consent.
You can manage cookies in your browser settings or through any cookie banner shown on the website.
2.5 Advertising and conversion measurement
When you submit a contact, quote, or intake form, or tap a phone number link on contractormarketingnw.com, I may record a conversion event with the advertising platforms I use, currently Meta (Facebook and Instagram ads) and Google Ads. As part of that measurement, the email address or phone number you submitted may be shared with the platform in hashed form, which Meta calls Advanced Matching and Google calls enhanced conversions. The platforms process that data under their own privacy policies and use it only to match conversions to ad interactions. You can limit this through your browser settings, cookie controls, the platform’s ad preferences at adssettings.google.com and facebook.com/adpreferences, or by contacting me as described in section 7.
2.6 AI chatbot data
If a website includes an AI chatbot I built, the chatbot may collect the content of your messages, metadata such as timestamps and session identifiers, and any personal information you share during the conversation. Conversations may be logged for quality checks, service improvement, and training. Do not send sensitive personal information through the chatbot.
3. How I use your information
I use the information I collect to provide, operate, and maintain websites and digital services, to process payments and manage client accounts, to answer inquiries and support requests, to send service notices, to study how the sites are used and improve their performance, design, and experience, to find and stop technical problems, fraud, and security threats, to meet legal obligations, and to send promotional messages only where you have opted in or where the law allows it.
I will never sell your personal information.
4. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)
For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, I process personal data on the following legal bases.
Contract performance, where processing is needed to fulfill my obligations to a client.
Legitimate interest, where processing is needed to run and improve my services and keep my systems secure.
Consent, where you have given specific, informed, and unambiguous consent of your own accord.
Legal obligation, where processing is required by law.
5. Service providers
I share personal information only with service providers who help me run my services. They are bound by contract to use your data only for the purposes I specify and to keep it secure.
Payment processing. I use PayPal and other authorized payment processors to handle payments and invoices. I do not store full card numbers on my servers.
Hosting and infrastructure. Websites and services are hosted on Cloudflare, including Workers, Pages, and R2 storage.
Advertising measurement. I use conversion tracking from Meta and Google Ads, which may share hashed contact identifiers with the platform only to measure ad performance, as described in section 2.5.
Analytics. I may use Google Analytics, Plausible, or similar tools to collect anonymized usage statistics.
Email. I use Resend to send transactional emails and notifications.
AI and chatbot providers. Chatbot features may involve third party AI model providers, and chat content may be sent to them for processing.
Domain registrars and DNS. Domain registration and DNS run through third party registrars such as Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, or similar providers.
I do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties for their own marketing.
6. Data retention
I keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy. As a general guide, client account data is kept for the length of the working relationship plus three years, payment and billing records are kept for seven years for tax and legal reasons, website analytics are kept indefinitely in anonymized or aggregated form, chatbot conversation logs are kept for twelve months and then deleted or anonymized, and marketing contact data is kept until you withdraw consent or unsubscribe.
7. Your rights
7.1 Rights under GDPR (EEA, UK, Switzerland)
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to access your personal data and get a copy, to correct inaccurate or incomplete data, to erasure under certain conditions, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent at any time, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7.2 Rights under CCPA and CPRA (California residents)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information I collect, use, disclose, and sell, to delete personal information I hold about you, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, to correct inaccurate personal information, to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information, and to be treated no differently for exercising these rights.
I do not sell personal information. I share limited information (hashed contact identifiers and conversion events) with Google and Meta only for advertising measurement, as described in section 2.5. To the extent that counts as sharing under the CPRA, you can opt out at any time by contacting me as described in section 7.3 or through your cookie and browser controls.
7.3 Exercising your rights
To exercise any of these rights, email Arseni@ContractorMarketingNW.comwith the subject line “Privacy rights request.” I respond to verified requests within thirty days.
8. Data security
I use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS and SSL), access controls and authentication on internal systems, regular software updates and security patches, payment processing through PCI DSS compliant providers, and periodic security reviews.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is fully secure. I work to protect your personal information, but I cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International data transfers
If you are outside the United States, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or in other countries where my service providers operate. I take appropriate safeguards so those transfers comply with applicable data protection law, including the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
10. Children’s privacy
My services are not directed to anyone under sixteen. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If I learn that I have collected personal data from a child under sixteen, I will delete it promptly.
11. Do Not Track signals
Some browsers send Do Not Track signals. There is no industry standard for how websites should respond to them. My websites may not respond to those signals, but you can manage tracking through cookie settings and browser controls.
12. Changes to this policy
I may update this privacy policy at any time. When I make a material change, I update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, give notice on the website or by email. Continued use of my services after a change means you accept the revised policy.
